I’m not sure what to make of the big surprise on General Hospital this week — but then again, I haven’t known what to make of GH in a very long time (years, actually). Robin Scorpio is alive — and looking very tanned and rested, I might add, even if she is being held hostage in something resembling a hospital room. Seeing Robin in that bed at the end of Monday’s episode was the first time GH has really “wowed” me since that unforgettable moment in May 1980 when Edward Quartermaine sprang back to life after faking a heart attack and shocked his daughter Tracy (and millions of viewers, as well) after she had refused to give him his medication because he wouldn’t change his will

Last week, Chicago’s infamously raunchy hot dog stand the Wiener’s Circle saw the debut of its new TruTV reality show . And, in keeping with the show’s promotional claims that it showcases “the wildest wiener stand this side of the Mississippi,” its debut episode showcasing the Lincoln Park eatery certainly served up a value basket of sass with a generous side of free t-shirts. In one segment, Poochie, the manager at Wiener’s, announces the parameters of a late-night contest : “If anybody up in here can do the booty walk like [employee] Erika, we’re going to give one of you motherf****** a free t-shirt.” After Erika demonstrates the walk, a couple of more-often-intoxicated-than-not customers give it a go, including one diner who curiously bears a vague resemblance to former President George W.

Anjelica Huston (”Smash”) told “Piers Morgan Tonight” guest host Rosie O’Donnell that she’s willing to “be a pain in the ass” if it means preventing animal cruelty. Comparing TV show “Luck,” cancelled after a third horse died, with the seemingly positive use of horses in the film “War Horse,” Huston said, “I understand the need to use animals in film, but you have to be really really extra careful.” If wranglers are not sensitive to their treatment of animals, Huston takes a stand.
