For the same reasons that Sarah Palin is a riveting figure in American politics, the HBO movie Game Change is an astonishingly smart look at her and the world that put her in the position of John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election. Even when played by Julianne Moore, you cannot take your eyes off Sarah Palin. I will not say especially as played by Julianne Moore, although Moore’s gifts as an actor are such that she disappears in the role

After months of promotion HBO’s film on Sarah Palin and the 2008 campaign, Game Change, will air (finally) this weekend. Conservatives (including Palin, who has not seen the movie) claim that the film is completely unfair and mainly fiction, plus a valentine to Obama from Democratic Hollywood

” Parks and Recreation ” is going on a break after this week, but before it exits the NBC schedule for a month (returning April 19), it’s offering up some extra Ron Swanson goodness. Well, more accurately, Nick Offerman goodness. Thursday’s episode of the sterling NBC comedy was written by Offerman, who also plays Ron Swanson, the boss of aspiring politician Leslie Knope.

When Star Jones returned to “The View” six years after her tumultuous departure from the daytime talk show, she was there to talk about the Go Red for Women campaign to raise awareness of the dangers in women of heart disease. But the co-hosts seemed determined to rehash the bad old days. It was “as though they ambushed you ,” Rosie O’Donnell told Jones on “The Rosie Show” (Weeknights, 7 p.m

I have to say, (Wo)men Tell All is usually one of my favorite episodes all season, but this episode was very underwhelming. I was really looking forward to seeing Jenna’s weird facial expressions (which make Courtney’s nose scrunches seem normal), hearing Monica and Blakely explain their brief pseudo-love affair on Night One, and witnessing some tears.

Just in case you needed another reason to completely adore Ellen DeGeneres, she went and edited herself into “The Bachelor: The Women Tell All.” “I can tell you that Portiaâs a little upset, because she thought I was gonna be on ‘The Amazing Race,’” she faux-told host Chris Harrison. For those of you that arenât against-your-better-judgment avid viewers of “The Bachelor” series , “The Women Tell All” episode essentially consists of the women who have been rejected by the Bachelor (in this case itâs the ever dopey-looking Ben Flajnik ) dishing on all of the previous weeksâ drama. Think: lots of dirty looks, eye rolls, forced apologies and back-pedaling about bad behavior.
