I cringed when I saw the promos for last night’s 20/20 and their “exclusive” first interview with former Rutgers University student Dharun Ravi, just found guilty on 15 counts — including invasion of privacy and bias intimidation — last week for spying with a webcam while his roommate, Tyler Clementi, was on a date with another man in their dorm room.

I never dreamed that I would hear 10,000 people screaming when I stepped out onto a stage. Well, that’s not entirely true. I dreamed about it but in a performing-on-the-stage-at-Staples-Center-or-Madison-Square-Garden context

Comedian Jimmy Pardo nabbed an interview with Jon Hamm backstage at “Conan” during Hamm’s recent guest spot, and had a pitch for the “Mad Men” star’s next movie: Batman, starring Hamm and Pardo. After all, Batman is fair game now that Christian Bale has planned to vacate role after “The Dark Knight Rises.” But Hamm was less receptive to the idea than one might hope, and explained why — by turning the tables on Jimmy, and complimenting his “rapier wit” as reason to include him in this Batman reboot

You can read a lot of stories about ” Mad Men ” and interviews with its creator, Matthew Weiner, and come away without understanding of one important fact: He laughs a lot. He makes a show that occasionally plunges headfirst into existential despair — just see how low ad man Don Draper sank in Season 4 — and which expertly dissects the uglier, more selfish and shameful aspects of human behavior. But like the drama he has shepherded for five seasons (so far), Weiner has a sense of humor.

On Wednesday night’s “Late Show,” Martin Short dropped by to talk to David Letterman about Rush Limbaugh’s controversy and offending Mel Brooks , but he also found time to pull off his very own musical performance. After his interview, Short announced that he and Paul Schaefer had been paid handsomely to publicly endorse a candidate — one that has great looks, lots of money and more than a few things to say about grits. Instead of going the traditional route, Short and Shaefer (with the help of a few cardboard cut-outs and some back-up dancers) performed a Mitt Romney edition of “It’s Raining Men” that we think you’ll enjoy.

HuffPost TV recently ventured up into the foothills of Vancouver’s Brittania Mountain to visit the cast of The CW’s freshman series ” The Secret Circle ” on location. The weather was chilly at the atmospheric old mine they were filming at for “Crystal,” the April 19 episode, and the cast members filming that day — Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker, Phoebe Tonkin, Chis Zylka and Jessica Parker Kennedy — were eager to discuss their magical new series.

If there’s one thing ” Mad Men ” actors have gotten good at over the years, it’s giving interviews that don’t give away too much about what’s to come on the AMC drama. As fans of the show are well aware, creator Matthew Weiner hates the idea of even the time frame of the new season becoming public knowledge before the show’s return, so there’s little to no upside for actors who drop big clues about what will happen when “Mad Men” finally returns March 25 . But that’s fine; as Part 1 of my interview with “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm showed, the four previous seasons of ” Mad Men ” supply a bountiful array of non-spoilery themes and ideas to talk about
